Great so far! It's VERY important that you get the installation right. Miraculously, I seem to have succeeded in that, and the gate functions perfectly.It has a mechanism on the hinge side that keeps it open around 90⁰, and when you reduce the angle, it self-closes and latches.There are two latches buttons and lifting of the gate required to open it so that it doesn't inadvertently open, yet is easy to access one-handed. It also swings both ways and gives you access to the full span of the space when the gate is open.I had to make an alteration due to the handrail for my stairs. The gate was hitting it when I extended the latch side to the wall with the handrail. I used a 2 ft piece of 2x4 I painted to match the wall and first secured that to the wall, then the latch bar to the 2x4. (Shown in pictures)Overall, I definitely recommend this. My toddler isn't able to climb it, and at the point she is able to, we probably won't need it.

Works great for stairs that have trim or hard to mount areas. Bottom hinges can be moved all the way up or all the way down.

This gate is very solid, and installation was pretty easy! It stays open and auto closes according to the listing.

We purchased 3 of these in the taller height to ensure that the babies wouldn't be able to climb over them as they get older. If you are installing them on stairs with a metal railing, I suggest ordering the wooden adapter that straps onto the railing to hold the gate in place. This gate takes some coordination to open as you have to use both your foot and hand at the same time, which makes me trust this gate even more. It's easy for adults, but not for kids.

This gate does work , for a while. The stay-open and self-close hinge quit working after about six months of daily use. Now when I want to leave it open, it partially closes by itself, but not enough to lock - it’s no longer the reason I purchased it. Huge disappointmentEdit - so I did contact Babelio customer service about this and asked for a new hinge to fix the gate. They said they couldn’t do that so instead they sent me a whole new gate, which arrived in about 3 days. Changed from one star to four because although the product failed in less than a year they honored the warranty eight months later- who does THAT anymore? Customer service is s top notch. 👍

We were looking for a baby gate with no bottom bar and this is what we landed on. The gate functions great, opens as intended, latches well, and for the most part holds up to daily interactions from little ones. Our only complaint is the adjustment bracket slipping over time which is slightly frustrating to keep fixing.

I have needed a gate for my dogs and this gate works perfectly. Great value and pet friendly!

These gates are nice without that bottom bar. Swings totally out of the way when not in use. Easily installed with good instructions.

easy to install and once I figured out how to open it - love it for my dogs. I am hopeful it will last longer than my previous gate which was wood and got torn up by the dogs.

Seems sturdy, and was one of the taller and wider options we could find which was important. Also nice design allowing it to go where the trim won't interfere and good locking mechanisms. I have only good things to say so far but it's only been a day

I have 2 different sizes and they are amazing! We have used baby gates for our dogs for years and these are by far the best ones we have ever used!

This gate works great. My animals have not been able to escape through as they have been with other gates.

Hands down the best gate I’ve ever used. I’ve had dogs gates in use for over 15 years and this is the easiest to install and the most well built. HIGHLY recommend!!!!

Very reasonablely priced, sturdy. Adjusted to the door easily. Looks great on my porch, does a great job of keeping the kids and dogs safe. Money well spent , should last for many years.

We love this gate! We have others but different brand names and we would definitely buy this gate again! Opening is generous, love the “spring loading” feature that closes behind you.Locking and opening hand feature is high quality and not sloppy feels like it will last as long as the bars themselves ❤️

Works well on our deck spanning across the the top of the steps down. We needed it to keep two dogs from escaping. One is small (about 16 lbs.), the other larger (about 55 lbs.) I was originally worried about the smaller dog squeezing between the rails, but they are close enough that he can't. Another worry was that they would be able to push it open, especially when a cat or squirrel strolls by and they go nuts. Again the latch seems strong enough to prevent that.I pre-measured the opening before ordering, and it was 43 in, and the max opening for this gate is 43 in, so I thought I was good. However upon trying to install, it was a little small. After re-measuring , my opening was more like 4.25 in, so there is no wiggle room in the listed size.I decided to shim it out to fit rather than return. It worked good, but complicated the install. If your opening is the right size, then the install would be very easy.Overall I'm very happy with it. No signs of rust and holding up well. It's easy to use opening and automatically closes, but doesn't have enough force to latch it locked.

I use a wheelchair, so our baby gates cannot have a lower bar. We have a big dog, about 60 pounds, who likes to stand up and lean on the gate, so it has to be strong. It also has to be easy for me to open. And we use it on the dining room, which has a 34 inch wide doorway.This one checks all the boxes. It also has an interesting feature, where if you push it all the way open, it stays open, but if you only open it partway, it swings shut again. So far I like this, but we will have to wait and see if other people can get used to it.Meanwhile, I am very happy with this gate for a wide opening.

I purchased two of these gates and they great! I gave one to my son for his shih tzu and bulldog and I kept one for my German Shepherd. They look nice, install in just a few minutes, and are built sturdy to keep our dogs in certain areas of our homes. One of the best things about these gates is there is no bar on the bottom to step over. You use a slider at the top on the side and a button underneath the rail to open it. Also, it closes on its own once you walk through. If you are buying it for a baby, it will be difficult for a baby to figure out how to open the gate and actually open it. It's a great value for the money knowing our dogs are safe and where they should be.
